Bartholomew Broadbent in Lemaire
We could not contain our excitement when Bartholomew Broadbent of the eponymous Broadbent Selections moved to Richmond last year. We are partnering with the founder to deliver two world-class experiences at Lemaire!
The first will be held on Wednesday, September 22nd at 7 pm and will feature Chateau Musar from the Bekka Valley in Lebanon. Chateau Musar is one of Bartholomew’s favorite producers, not only because of its unique story, but due to the philosophy behind the winemaking. The wines are tremendous in flavor, texture and provenance! We challenged the culinary team to create a four-course meal with these wines, and they delivered. View the menu here! The cost is $65 per guest, including tax and gratuity.
The second event with Broadbent Selections will be on Wednesday, October 20th at 7 pm. Bartholomew is widely recognized as one of the world’s experts on fortified wines. In fact, his dedication to the category has inserted Port and Madeira back into our gastronomic lexicon!
We have selected five stunning fortified wines for you to taste along with cheeses. The value for this event comes from not only the food and beverage, but also in the form of an unparalleled expert spinning hilarious, yet insightful, stories about the role of these wines in shaping the history of our world. The cost is $45 per guest, including tax and gratuity.
