Domaine Vincent Dauvissat is arguably the finest domaine in Chablis. A loyal following among France’s most esteemed restaurateurs sharply limits the availability of Dauvissat wines for export. Nonetheless, it is no surprise that they have attracted the praise and attention of critics worldwide. After a few moments, the nose unveils scents of lemon curd, white spring flowers, and flint. The palate is well balanced with flavors of ginger, white pepper, and a lavish finish of dried honey that lingers on and on.
Puriri Hills” wines were originally inspired by the blends of St. Emilion and Pomerol. Merlot and Carmenère, a lost Bordeaux variety, are supported by Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec. Judi Fowler, a native of Lynchburg, VA, is far and away the most award-winning female producer in all of New Zealand. Deeply colored, it is full-bodied, with a spicy bouquet and an array of blackcurrant, plum, herb, spice and nut flavors, showing excellent depth and complexity.
